Johnny Ray Web  is a singer-songwriter who has been uniquely both an influential musician in 20th Century American music, and at the same time arguably one of the least recognized for his work.

Primarily remembered as a Rock and Roll artist, his music has spanned many genres including Country, Blues, Rockabilly, Folk and Gospel.

Although never recognized within any major music genre Hall of Fame, Johnny Ray Web often covered the songs of artists who were.

Throughout his career Johnny Ray worked with almost all of the great icons of American music.  He spent much of his time simply trying to understand the passions and contradictions of the day, and translating this into songs that both spoke to the times as well as transcended generations.   Well respected in the industry, those who knew him spoke of his passion for music and his love of speaking through his songs. Though relatively unknown throughout most of his career, it was not uncommon to find music fans everywhere who had heard of him.  While it is true that most of the time these stories were associated to other unknown artists, it was commonly known that the other unknown artists were not Johnny Ray. Johnny Ray was never mainstream, yet his songs always seemed to touch the hearts of the people that heard him.
